Wests Convention Centre has developed a reputation as a first class conference and events venue, offering outstanding facilities and the flexibility to cater for an extensive variety of groups.

Located just 6 km from the CBD of Newcastle, its close proximity to many of the tourist attractions of the Hunter Region, Newcastle Airport, the F3 Freeway, Newcastle Entertainment Centre and Newcastle University makes it the ideal destination for any event.

Five well appointed function rooms have the capacity to hold events for up to 1,000 people and all offer flexible room set-ups and breakout areas. The function rooms can be tailored to host a range of events, including trade shows, gala dinners, sales presentations, training seminars and product launches. A complimentary undercover car park is available to all guests.

The impressive Starlight Room provides a prestigious backdrop for any large event, offering live performance staging, three giant electronic screens, and an outstanding audio visual equipment and data projection system. This is supported by a skilled in-house audio visual team to assist with any specific technical needs.

This room is complimented by a large open Terrace overlooking two spectacular in-ground pools. The Terrace joins the Starlight Room to Function Rooms A and B to make a complete convention centre that is versatile and appropriate to any event requiring multiple function or trade spaces.

Our award winning catering department have a delivery plan that ensures meal service is as good from the first meal to the last. We have an excellent reputation for providing superb food and service to small groups and large.

Adjacent to the Convention Centre, Wests offer a contemporary, elegant 4 ½ star hotel, The Executive Inn. Special Conference rates are offered on accommodation when you have a function or event with us Wests New Lambton or Wests Mayfield.
