Western Suburbs Rugby League Football Club

As 2007 season finishes we can look back on the past year. Wests First, Reserve and Open Grades contributing to winning the Club Championship (Mal Woolford trophy) after a very close contest. First Grade bowed out in the elimination semi final and Reserve Grade and Open Grades were Minor Premiers. On Grand Final day after two entertaining games, Reserve Grade came away with the trophy defeating Cessnock. unfortunately our Open Grade team lost to Wyong.
It was great effort by all teams and we look forward to an even better year in 2008.
Presentation night was a good chance for the players to talk about the season gone and the new season coming.

WESTS SCHOOLBOYS RLFC

At the time of writing this report we are in the last part of the season with just two games to go before the semi finals. Of our 28 teams this year, eight are in the mini age groups of U/7s, 8s and 9s, which are non-competitive and have no semi finals. Theses age groups are used as coaching years preparing the players of the future. When you have some spare time on a Saturday morning drop in down to Kentish ovals and become refreshed when you see the smiling faces of our future champions enjoying their games.
