Welcome back to the 2010 season we look forward to a very busy time this year.
Registration days were again very busy with a large number of new players joining our club. We hope our players and their families enjoy their year of Rugby League at West and have fun as we endeavour to help their children learn the skills to play the greatest game of all. Remember, as a club we are all here to help provide a safe and enjoyable place for your children to have fun, learn and make friends.
2010 brings about some changes at West schoolboys we will now administer the Under 18’s with the assistance of the senior club and we welcome the boys and their families to join us under the West Schoolboys banner.
We have just completed our trials and are waiting for the competition to commence.
Judging by the trials at Valentine, Wyong and Raymond Terrace it looks like being another terrific year for West Schoolboys.
Our season kicks off on the 17th April 2010 slightly later this year. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable season and please feel free to come along and help out around the club as we will welcome your assistance.
This year is a very special year we will be celebrating 100 years of league in Newcastle from 1910 – 2010 with West Senior Club one of the original teams who commenced the competition. On Saturday May 15, 2010, West Grade will play Souths and the Northern Blues will play Central in a triple header at No 1 Sportsground - the additional game being a representative game featuring the Newcastle team. We hope to see some of our junior players and their families come along on the day to support the teams.
